Description
A classic cezve, worked by hand in Türkiye from a single sheet of thick copper by craftspeople with a long tradition in copperwork. The base is hand-hammered, the body solid copper and the inside tin-lined. The handle sits on a cast bronze collar and the handmade wooden grip comes off easily.
Copper spreads heat quickly and evenly, which helps the coffee warm slowly on a low flame and the foam gather well. At 414 ml it is a comfortable size for 3–4 cups of Turkish coffee at once. Use it on gas and electric hobs or on hot sand; it does not work on induction.
Wash the copper cezve by hand and dry it straight away; not in the dishwasher.
